Plans under study

The catchment area covered by the Regional Water Basin Authority includes the Marano and Grado lagoons. These lagoons are characterised by a complex and delicate hydrological and environmental fabric and are home to important economic activities linked to fisheries, nautical tourism and commercial maritime traffic, which must be managed and developed in equilibrium with the valuable natural resources of the lagoon environment.

The basic investigative studies were started in May 2006 for the preparation of the “Plan for the hydraulic protection and the ecological and environmental protection of the Marano and Grado lagoons”.
